You can solve this puzzle by doing what John did.
He wrote R in the middle space.
In the last square he wrote H.
He put I just after R.
Between H and I he wrote C.
He only wrote one T, and he put that one just after the S which he wrote between O and T.
In this way he spelt the name of a bird which can move very fast.
